Who we are

New England Landscapers (nelandscapers.com) is a free referral service that connects homeowners with independent local landscapers. We don't perform landscaping work ourselves.

What we collect

When you send an estimate request, we collect what you enter in the form: your name, phone number, email address, town, the service you're interested in and any project details you add. We also record the page you sent it from, the date and time, and your device's IP address, which helps us spot spam and abuse.

If you call us, your call is routed through our phone number. Calls are not recorded. If we ever begin recording calls, we will tell callers at the start of the call before any recording begins.

If analytics is enabled on this site, it uses cookies to measure visits and which pages lead to calls and requests. It does not receive your name, phone number, email or message. After a request is saved, a short-lived cookie holding only the town and service you chose lets the confirmation page record that a request was received; it is deleted when that page loads.

To limit spam, we keep a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address for up to 24 hours to count how many requests come from the same connection. It can't be turned back into your address.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to your request and to connect you with a contractor who serves your area where one is available. We don't sell your information, and we don't send it to more than one contractor.

Who we share it with

If your area has a participating contractor, we send your request to that one contractor so they can contact you about your project. That contractor may pay us for marketing. If your area doesn't have a participating contractor yet, your request comes only to us, and we follow up with you directly. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep estimate requests for 24 months, then delete them. Requests are stored outside the public website, in a folder that can't be reached from the internet, and are cleared automatically each month once they pass the 24-month mark.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by calling (000) 000-0000. A contractor we referred you to keeps their own records under their own policies.

Children

This site is for homeowners. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
